A VAMPIRE’S KISS
by Rïén Kelso In a castle far from the village below, Down in a valley far away. The whispers came around the town, A vampire’s off to slay. Sharing now a kiss of death, The fangs have torn through my flesh, I feel the blood start to drip out. And screaming out for help to the people. A distant land is under fire, A pox is on the prowl. They’ll before their feet and pray, To their god who is on its way. Followers of an ancient deity, Wretched and out of date. A deciever is now in our midst, Spreading death like the plague. Look to the river, we’re out of time. Each drop that drains a life one dime. Flowing through my veins is ice cold seas, There’s nothing left to do harm to me. Pray to me, I am the one, A protector here to stay. They said with a heavenly voice, But when I say them I couldn’t say. “Stay away from there!” he shouted out, And my hypnotic stare has faded away. Don’t look into the bright white lights, The vampire has finally been slain. Much like mountains we’ve fallen off. The people won’t believe what’s enough. I can’t take it anymore won’t you please stop? It’s useless to take this caution to the mountain top. It started with a simple kiss, Now the fire that’s taken off. Igniting horrors beyond my sights, A demon’s will is served. I lay awake every night, Hoping they won’t come back. My window is locked every night, So no angel from hell can attack. An angel released from the holy skies, Reigns down from hell when firstborns die. A cough and a quiver is what I need, There’s left for me to bleed.
