It's Not Just For ShowA Poem by splattercoreIt's a poem of deciding what is real and what is staged.
I thought going out today would have been a good idea. I never do this and it’s so hard to put myself out there like this. The lights make me nervous and the people’s loud roars echo from one ear out of another. Sitting there wondering when it’s going to happen makes me sit on their edge my seat more than this thriller ever could. A sharp pain where my laugh should be is stricken with a cold hard reality. I’m walking the halls, people sit there and laugh, thinking it’s all part of an act. I don’t know where else to turn. I’m slowly dying and all you can do is just stand there and watch.
