THE LONELY ROAD AHEAD
Two proportions melded together, Unequally yoked "Set forth! Proclaim victory to the ears of mute men!" Two eyes never in line, Slightly askew The eyes of one never get to see eye to eye Each eye sees the other proportion's beauty His darkness fading Into her light "Oh gentle hand, double my pleasure by giving me double, your silken fabric against the coarse of mine" Two hours of twilight oppressed by the radiance of the lover's embrace "Set forth again! Victory proclaimed! Let the ears of foreign men celebrate the universal code." Two minutes descending down the spiral staircase Tumbling with abated laughter Their light fading back into darkness For her plantation, Harvested by another proprietor, Whose two hands force labor with cold blood. She entreats the field thief, bids him to taste of her orchard once more. "Take two. One for now and one for the lonely road ahead." ~~The Splash
