Sweet BlissA Poem by The SplashWritten in 2003 for that special someone, someone who was there and made me feel alive when I was lonely and dead.
Passion undenied, a truth uncovered,
When you cross my mind or when you walk by. My stomach is tight, my heart is aflutter, As butterflies rise and the smiles unnumbered. How great is my joy, how deep is my longing, To hear you speak softly or say nothing at all. To look in your eyes or just tickle your side, Starts a flicker, a flame, a melting, a bonding. When we part ways and say our goodbyes, My heart reaches for you, it’s so hard to let go! But when you are gone, I just close my eyes, Set adrift on a dream to our cloud in the sky. As night disappears and I meet you once more, My heart thunders as we dance in the rain. And when you draw near to embrace for a kiss, I feel my lips quiver as I taste your sweet bliss. ~~The Splash
