A SaviorA Poem by Shivika K PMy point of view for the great SpartacusThe times were hard,
yet the motives drilled inside repelled him, The swift movements
cut deep to wash the ground with blood, Incoherent forces gave
no effort, as eyes beheld the torment Endurance was not a
pleasure, yet each blood brought hope No more the chains
ripped his neck, no more the barriers held his pride, Masters bowed down,
and they stood their ground, His name was carried
through the wind, as each knew him, For the savior
brought the true meaning of freedom, And drew the Romans to
fear the grounds they held, And only one word that
seems to shiver them, “Spartacus” © 2013 Shivika K P |
