Slip

Slip

A Poem by Steven Chisham
"

This is a poem I wrote years ago when I was in a group home. It is just something to start my page with.

"
Slip, slip, slipping away
I am so afraid I've lost my way
Jumbled and scattered,
My thoughts never mattered
Some day I hope they may

your thoughts matter today. we have a shared experience and this is a clear, concise illustration of how one could inevitably feel in that situation. nice piece to start your adventure here :)

cheers, friend!

We tell ourselves that our thoughts don't matter but they do, they always do. I like this piece very much as I spent time working as a counsellor at a group home (in a former life) and often spent many of my days and nights chatting to the residents. I always found that they had lots to say and I always listened. Thanks for sharing this; it's a nice piece to start your page with. I look forward to reading more.
