Tribesmen

Tribesmen

A Poem by spenderlou
"

I know they didnt actually take back their lands, its fiction.

"

The great Lakota
With strong Crazy Horse
Took back their Dakota
With deadly force
And they lived in their
With no remorse

Crafty Geronimo,
Who led his Apache
With great gusto and tenacity,
They took back their own,
Their home, Arizona.

Wise Tecumseh feared none,
And led the Shawnee.
With battles he won,
He took back their trees.
And when he was done,
He basked in the breeze.

These are the great chiefs,
Who we now remember.
They are fleeting, like leaves,
But their words are still tender.
They knew to stand together,
And against what was wrong.
For a single twig is weak,
But a bundle is strong.
