A Price Too High To Pay

A Price Too High To Pay

A Poem by spence
"

A lesson in self-control

"

My silence speaks a thousand words

To those moral edicts I find absurd

My none compliance paints vivid pictures

Of fallen God’s and burning scriptures

My resentment really rocks the boat

Grabs establishments by the throat

My contempt has sank a thousand ships

Capsized ego’s so full of s**t

My anger’s burned so many bridges

Ways from want- ways to riches?

My malice has poisoned many a chalice

Knocked those on pedestals right off balance

But when my hatred’s hardened hearts against me...

I’ve prayed that love would come and save me
