1 Riddle me this eh? Oh tell me! What might you be? Oedipus ponders Ever present…dark Giving you away too soon? I see your ‘SHADOW’! 2 I saw the thing you wished I’d see It was sitting write in front of me I put on the light To help my sight A ‘NOVEL’ idea came to me 3 This third one made me sway and swoon I thought of asteroids and moons Perhaps I could have writ a sonnet To answer that it’s Haley’s comet But, I considered, looking from my sill That comets and meteors are never still So I will stick not twist too soon I lay my wager- it’s the 'MOON'! © 2010 spence |
