And believe that it’s endemic When the advertising message Makes up the epistemic In a wanton greed and whining epidemic As we wander here and there And we wonder, hear and see Subliminal suggestions Moralistic questions Aesthetic assertions are pushed upon me Ideal imagery and products to own Competitive consumers Aspiring to perfect roles And all those opposed Become bi-polar souls Mental health woes Juxtaposed Against the ‘truth’ that everyone knows We’re the black hole species Convenient components of individuality Consuming all into a singularity And, unconcerned with all disparity We’ll die as one regular irregularity © 2010 spenceFeatured Review
