Lassoing The MoonA Poem by spenceTelevision at Christmas
It’s that wonderful time
Of Christmas Card rhymes
Lassoing the moon for you
Festive filled belly
James Stewart on the telly
It’s a wonderful life; it’s true
But when I switch channels
The remote hits the panels
It’s Bono and the Live Aid crew
‘Do they know it’s Christmas?’
They should do; its big business
They’ve been working all year getting screwed!
Band Aid play guilt hints
While they’re making a mint
And prepare to make off with the loot
But I don’t want to think
So I’ll get me some drink
I’ll be shooting this moon right through!
