What a State We're In!

At a cold and faceless corporate stare.

You’re like me-on your knees

Supporting the weight of the industry

You and me, way down below

Fighting each other toe to toe

Wake up now! You gotta fight back!

Walk away together- watch it all collapse!

Then you’ll see, beneath the rubble,

Another truth, to burst the bubble.

The corporate state-and all its power-

Are frightened faces; just like ours.

 

I’m like You-Fighting down here

Truth in our hearts we have no fear.

Stand up straight! Get off your Knees!

Take control of your industries.

Increasing the pressure from below,

Waiting for the cracks to show.

We worked in peacetime, died at war

Fodder for their order, victims of their law.

We’ve built ‘their’ world- from bottom to top

To benefit the privileged-while we were left to rot

But the corporate state has no real power,

Lets take back a world that’s ours!

This song was written as being sung between two vocalists that alternated per line until the very last line when both shouted their message of defiance! 'Let's take back the world- It's ours!' Anarchy, man! Pure (A)narchy! ; )
