A different kind

Whatever happened to us?

That could allow us to go from caring
ever so deeply our heart sank at the idea of being apart
To not even a tear shed at the thought of losing one another.
Amazing as you are
But less than perfect in my eyes
Wishing to accept you beyond the scope of an endless horizon
Know that the thoughts of you
The flower with no name but perfection
spurred the memories of an existence far from over
and a heart long since forgotten
Did just knowing that you were okay become enough to make it such?
When words alone become obsolete
Their ability to actually grasp the level of sincerity in our hearts begs us to ask us the question
Whatever happened to us?
What that could allow us to go from burning so brightly with the flames of passion to being content with the fading smile of heart almost as broken as your own.

Such a good piece once again, very heartfelf and moving.


This is how it came across to me.
A lot of emotion poured out from this as i was read my way through. The last sentence in particular struck me, to see a relationship go from such a strength through to a just a shade of its former self is saddening to know that this is what happens to many a poeple.

Again, moving and so very true.
