Relying on Others is for FoolsA Poem by SpeedyHobbit ArmstrongThe speaker berates themselves for letting down their guard, choosing to expose a weakness in hopes of bolstering, and thus opening themselves up to be further hurt by indifference.
Really, when will you learn?
Every time will be the same Let's just think about this a moment You thought they were different? In this instance they seemed different? Caring? Compassionate? Never heard THAT one before Gee, and you wonder why you always get hurt? Oh, but you tried to be there for them? Since when does that matter? Naivete is certainly your forte. Oh, but they said they'll always be there for you? Too many times have you heard that. How many times has someone followed through on their word? Every time? Really, try NEVER So why do you still count on "friends"? I do wonder when you'll learn So, watch your own back. Look to your own vulnerabilities. Nobody else will. Friends are fake. They like you only for some sort of gain. Oh, and when you fall, nobody will help you up. Remember that for once. Fake friends are real friends. Or so they say Oh, how kind and empathetic you try to be matters not. Only trust and depend on yourself. Let this pain be a lesson Showing you that cold hard truth © 2013 SpeedyHobbit ArmstrongFeatured Review
