I Sit and Wait in DarknessA Poem by Speechless ShadowAnother poem by Speechless.I sit and wait in darkness As he lingers by the graves Of each and every one of us. He laughs like death I am not proud to say His happiness is sharp as knives. It gives a sensation Of something I did wrong Something I can never recover. I sit and wait in darkness Alone and all by myself Never daring to even breathe. The dark thoughts overpower me I am too afraid to think That I may never wake to light. I am frightened by the darkness Pushing ever so slightly, And daring me to leave forever. I sit and wait in darkness As I pray so hard That I may be purged from this darkness. © 2010 Speechless ShadowAuthor's Note
