a leap or a Jump

a leap or a Jump

A Poem by Sarah

i don't wanna say yes

but i don't wanna say no

its more like a jump

across a canyon than a

leap of faith

I teeter at the edge of insanity

picturing the perfect us.

wishing, hoping, wondering.

but never asking.

if you knew

then you'd understand.

your walk,

is so trapped behind

preconived notion

that i wouldn't care

for your wounds

only pour salt in them.

i hurt,

but don't hurt me

by this closed eyed

reality of who

you must be for everyone

but who you really are.

i hold back

just to save my

already timid heart-

i tip toe around

hoping not to break

the metaphorical egg shells.

i don't wanna say yes

but i don't wanna say no

its more like a jump

across a canyon than a

leap of faith.

a hop, a skip

and a jump

away

from a perfect

disaster

or

a perfect

miracle.
