Powerless

Powerless

A Poem by Sarah

my wrists are tied

with thin threads of

shame

lies

and

secrets.

i powerless agianst

them.

i let myself get close

and

they step back...

no longer wanting

friendship

to continue between us.

it hurts-

to know that they

can take everything

you've said-

done

and turn it all around.

to appear

as a dirty

lie

that

i had been keeping.

Even though

you followed me

into the dark

and clamed

i forced you

by gun point.

what i do

is not

dirty,

but shameful...

what you do

is not

dirty

but is a lie...

Hm, intriguing. :]

My favorite part:
"my wrists are tied
with thin threads of
shame
lies
and
secrets."

I'd like to know the concept--like, what made you write it. Seems like there'd be an interesting story behind it. ^^
