What We Do

What We Do

A Poem by Sarah

Her eyes blurry blue

And sinking below
Eye level.
Some where your
Flying into a memory.
I wish to follow
Deep inside you mind.
I seek the golden
Heart
That you have taken with
With cold fingers.
I want to crawl
Into your arms
A sleep as if I were
A kitten.
Loving you
Is hard
Only threw the drug
Do we talk openly
We get high
So high
That we’re gone
From the world

My only question is... are there grammatical errors in this, or am I just not really catching the sublte impressions your trying to make by using the words you used? Otherwise, I enjoyed the poem. I thought it was revealing, yet a little hessitant to reveal too much. I also thought it was delicate and innocent in the beginning, and then quite blunt at the end, giving it a very realistic approach to how people do the things they do. There are things we desire and strive for, but in the end, we must do what we must do if we truly want something.
