my girl

my girl

A Poem by speakingcolors

i can't stand.

my heart is so weak,

so full of love it hurts.

my mind drifts only

in the wake you've left in my life

rather than in the emptiness

that filled me before.

i whisper your name,

afraid to say it too loud

for fear i may sound desperate.

but i think about you constantly,

never wanting to forget any moment spent with you.

when we dance

i can't help but feel happy,

truely happy,

and i dread having to let you go.

that smile,

that wonderful you smile,

reminds me that there is joy left in this world,

and that if only i could hold you forever,

it would never be long enough.
