A Poem by speakingcolors

In the margins

of our paper,

between the

red line and

the edge of

the page, we

find out who

we really are.

For in that

space, that

narrow space,

we scribble

our most

important

thoughts.  We

may surprise

ourselves,

writing the

words we

never knew

we had.  But

we never, no

we never cross

the red line.

Awesome idea! I definitely would always write down ideas, thoughts, sketches, all hoping to work up to one formulated theme in my notebooks. The poem made me think of all the times that I'd be sitting writing notes, but be completely lost in thought with what was scattering through my head, as opposed to what we were supposed to be learning. I'd throw down ideas on the side because it was out of the way and always picked at my attention when I returned to that page. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it were random like the notes on the side of the page though. Regardless, it's a very cool idea. Nice job.
