A Year to the December

A Year to the December

A Poem by speakingcolors

As far as I remember

It was a strange and warm December

That night when I first met you

And you showed my how to love

As beautiful as above

That night we laid alone

When your tears would fall away

They would burn my heart and fray

Like fire on your skin

But I loved you just the same

Each time I would hear your name

I lived another day

You glowed just like an ember

We chased the days until September

That night when I last kissed you

And on that final day

When it was that you went away

I stopped looking for the sun

As far as I remember

It's been a cold and dark December

Without the shadow of you
