Without You

Without You

A Poem by speakingcolors
"

Probably the least favorite thing that I've written. It's a country song.

"

Wake up early in the morning

Stretch my back and go downstairs

Eat my breakfast, feed the fire

Get on with my daily affairs

It’s cold outside, the sun comes up

I feel it’s warmth on my skin

But it can’t compare to what I’ve lost

Your warm sweet kiss upon my chin

‘Cause your gone

An empty stain in my bed

And I’m lost

My world has been torn to shreds

You’re gone

And I don’t know what to do without you

I take the horse out to our tree

You know the one, it’s on the hill

I breathe the air, it smells so bitter

I cannot move, I’m standing still

‘Cause your gone

I miss that look on your face

And I’m lost

Can’t do nothing without your grace

You’re gone

And I don’t know what to do without you

Beautiful....I think we've all been there at some point in our lives where we are just lost without the person that we love. Good work!
