She Walks In The Rain

She Walks In The Rain

A Poem by speakingcolors
"

Another song about depression and feeling alone. I love the first half but I feel like I forced the second half. It's a song.

"

Home alone on a Sunday afternoon
She sits by herself in an empty room
There’s sun outside but it’s raining in her
She screams for help without saying a word

She begins to cry, it begins to rain
She wonders why she always feels this pain
Thinking to herself, “Why am I alone? ”
Hoping that someday she will find a home

She reaches for her coat, it’s not there
The empty hope is more than she can bear
She leaves her house with no where to go
She has her life buy has nothing to show

In no one can she find comfort she needs
Nor in the pages of books that she reads
She stares at the ground as cars pass her by
But they have their lives and don’t wonder why

The grey darkened sky rains down on her
Reflecting how the world has nothing sure
Her make-up runs down her cool softened face
And her heart beats to a new quickened pace

And you don’t know how she feels
And you don’t know what it’s like
To be alone and afraid
To wake up late every night
And feel unwanted, unloved
And continue on trying
To continue on living
Or continue on dying
Could you really take her pain?
She must have everyday
Or would you crumble beneath
Every word that they’d say
You’ll never be who I want
You’ll never be good enough
You’re a worthless desire
You’re so broken and rough
And she wonders while thinking
Have I fall’n through God’s sieve?
Will I forever be here?
When is it my turn to live?
She now convinces herself
That there is no more to gain
She cries softly to herself
As she now walks in the rain

A sad and powerful emotional poem. The description took the reader to a lonely place. Easy to feel a lone in this world. Hard to find real friends and have good conversations.

Sometime we must find people with same goals and dreams. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
