Mirrorland

Mirrorland

A Poem by speakingcolors
"

I wrote this song one night during Introduction to Engineering Economics. Thanks to The Boss for the inspiration for the title. I took the idea from "Jungleland", hence, "Mirrorland".

"

As is look ahead
I see myself
But I can't recognize
Who I see
Though they're the same
Our eyes are equal size

But deep inside
Through the glass
They've seen so many things
They're so free
To run away
To spread their glorious wings

I wish that I
Could step right through
That shiny lifeless face
Into a world
Where our dreams grow
Where we can live in grace

Fly away to Mirrorland
Step through the looking glass
Meet yourself at Mirrorland
Forget about the past
