Donor

Donor

A Poem by ladywriter

I saw a little girl

her body frail

she told me of her story

Her perilous adventure of heartache

she told me that she once dreamed celestial dreams

where she could simply reach and touch stars

Now she dreamed of dark roads

leading nowhere, nowhere

My heart bled for this little girl

I wanted her to dream again

her celestial dreams

My heart bled for her

So I gave her something

Something I seldom used

I saw a little girl

just a short while later

her body no longer frail

she told me she dreamed again

no longer of dark roads

but her celestial dreams once more

She patched my bleeding heart

and I gave her a chance for dreams again

For now I was the patient

and she was the donor

In spite of some sadness, this is somewhat heart warming. It's like the circle of compassion is complete.
