Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by spayne94

His demonic voice whispers in the wind,

To the harsh tempo of the lightening drums,

The lightening screams and roars in terror,

So full of angst, on edge waiting for the next bolt

The black fog carries his stench silently,

Staring at all to see with his bewitching stare,

All the creatures of this slump run from him,

But the black fog, he screens out the light,

He’s cruel you see, he’s my demon inside

Now the rain comes slamming down as it pounds against the pavements,

It daggers and slices the air with such horrific monstrosity.

His touch forcibly throws me to the grotesque mud ridden bank

Drip by drip he plays with your skull,

Full knowing that he is driving you to insanity

The clouds breathe in deeply,

Echoing your every breathe,

Calming you breath by breath,

She bumps softly on my shoulder

And holds me like an upset child and

Clouds the anxieties and blows it all away

The moon never hides,

It smiles with his ever shining light,

Waving at you, saying, “My dear the monster is no longer insight,

The moon gives a wink and a smile creeps on my solemn face

At last the sun starts to show,

She gets nearer and reaches out a delicate hand,

I took the hand and pressed it soft against my skin,

I am the friend of the moon and light.
