Life Will Do That to You

Life Will Do That to You

A Poem by sparklingfacet

I fear you, I fear you, how I
fear you humanity
How will you toss me about today?
Will you stab me fatally in the chest
for play?
I don't understand when you are
polite, giving, loving and kind
Somehow I don't see you as being that
in my mind
Did I make up the whole thing growing up
The lies, the loathing, the taunts
were so tough
Somehow I can't get rid of those feelings
from my heart
Being ripped apart
Ended up strengthening me more than
you can believe
I will not be deceived
I am strong, I am kind, I am beautiful
Try to prove me wrong, just try to you fool
Your tests will make me stronger
They will bow my shoulders no longer
