A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Thoughts going a million miles a second hit zero in no time,
And the stress in my veins evaporates quickly.
The same thoughts in my head cycle around
And I think for a moment, "This needs to stop, it's too much".
I wonder sometimes if the high is just high
Or if I'm really on the ledge looking down at the tide...
Am I ready to jump? Should I stand for a while?
Come to me now, and define the lines,
Or blur it together and let us survive?
Let me jump into the unknown
And hit the rocks at the speed of sound...
Suspend me in time and space before the end
And show me, your piece of heaven.
Should I jump, or should I stand for a while?
Am I ready for the answer or should I just wait it out?
