Lie To MeA Poem by Laura SparkleLie to me and tell me everything will be okay That while you're here nothing will hurt anymore. Tell me the nothingness won;t approach, And tell me for the last time, I'm safe. Lie to me, and tell me you missed me, That for the very first time in a long time you're here... Tell me you're staying, tell me you're fine... And promise me for the very last time You're mine. Lie to me, please, my world is not ending, Tell me again how fortunate I am And promise me I'm fine. Tell me the monsters are gone And the blood on the walls disappeared... Tell me it's my imagination... Tell me there is no connection. Promise me my nightmares are dreams, Tell me, my dear, I can let my guard down.... Tell me, for the very last time... You're still mine. Lie to me, dearest, I need this to breathe, The air in the room is so stuffy and empty, And the sin in which we live is complete. Tell me we're simple, tell me we're loved... Tell me the good gods above are watching... Please... I can't keep this up. Tell me you missed me, tell me you're here... Promise me for the very last time... This night will be over and you'll still be mine. © 2010 Laura SparkleReviews
