You

You

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

You bend me and break me,
You cut me and shake me,
You ask me and make me,
You love me and hate me.
You release me and tape me.
You chisel and shape me.
You hurt me and fake me.
You bring me and take me.
You f**k me and wake me.
You want me and rape me.

Never the same two days in a row,
You butchered me into letting you go...
Now I'm alone and letting you know
I'm stronger than ever...
Thanks to you.

Excellent use of words/rhyme to not only describe vivid, heart-wrenching feelings, but to show that the struggles only make us stronger and help us live longer. Great, great work.

Poem is outstanding. No waste of words. Your statements told a sad story. I like the positive ending. Can't allow the misery of people to hold us down. A excellent poem.
