Alpha

Alpha

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

So incredibly different, and so terribly alike

One sparkling white, the other shadowed and dark.

Two different covens, two different packs

Two wolves hurting, both for a cause…

Fresh blood running each other’s throat…

Whispering orders… whispering jokes…

Are we supposed to fight, as they say we should?

Are we supposed to falter in our judgment?

Two alphas standing, majestic and strong…

One facing east, the other one south,

Both fighting steady,

Both side by side.

If we told anyone

They would not understand.
