I am

I am

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

I’m a redhead now, the blonde washed away,

The blood I spilled has caused this change,

I hid the scars and I hid the pain

Didn’t want everyone to know how I am.

I am taller now, maybe by half an inch,

My eyes get darker when I think of you

And I don’t regret everything that I said,

I never lied to you, my dearest.

I am paler now, my veins run dry

The blood I have spilled has been washed

And I would have told you if my heard ran cold,

But it doesn’t, not yet.

I’m much faster now, my reflexes are quick

I run as fast and as much as I need

If I’m scared I duck and run

And hide in the safety net you were and are.

I am smarter now, or I would like to think so,

I think twice now before I talk and do…

Ready to tell you that all the changes I went through

Just made me better suited for you.

It was interesting. I liked it. It was well written. Only one or two spelling errors. Nothing major. Over all, a great poem.
