A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Scarlet curls fall over her shoulders

A choker clutches to the base of her pale neck…

A silver pentacle dangling sweetly,

From the silky line of the dearest ribbon.

She sits by the doorway, blocking the only escape,

A mercury sparkle in her obsidian eyes…

She laughs at the moment,

Sweetest revenge.

Her head hangs down low and her eyes search her insides,

She tries to forget all she knew before this day…

The shattered heart, now reborn, bleeds

At the darkened date in the eternal calendar.

It’s been a year since the heart was broken,

The porcelain doll is now glued …

There’s nothing to hold her together

She still waits for him to come back.

Wow what a vivid image you bring to life... though there is sadness in the emotion a sensual desire is also present... really fabulous work my friend.
