Nightmares

Nightmares

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Darkened nights and horror stories,

Sitting silently on my bed, leaning back,

Smiling gently to keep the tears away

Your arms wrapped around me

Emanating gentle heat.

Cobwebbed seduction pulled forth

From silent unsettled crimson sheets

Pulled back and forth tugging at each other,

With lovely scarlet attraction

Only one heart beating quickly.

Smiling gently at the thoughts that enter,

A lonely mind lost beyond space and time,

I know forever the moment behind

I understand the love and passion left blind,

Just hold me tighter tonight.

Horror stories lost in the dark,

Distant painful obsession of night,

Nightmares pulling me tight, leave me blind

Nightmares of death and light,

But you hold me tight.

Wow, this is an amazing piece. I love the images in this piece, it makes me wish i could be there and watch the scene play. This is dark and expressive showing how even during the nightmares you're still held tight. It's funny how certain arms can protect us from any and everything. This was well done with some great discription and images. "Cobwebbed seduction pulled forth" this is my favorite line in here.

Great Job!
