Bitter

Bitter

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Sweet vicious venom sliding down my throat,

I can taste the flavor of the words on my tongue…

And the breath I release from between rosy lips

Tastes of bitter hatred.

I can see the gray cloud lingering in the air,

And the moment between us evaporated slowly…

A relationship broken, lost without trust,

The moment suspended in space forever.

New sparkling magick persisting in the air

Running through my veins into the atmosphere

And as my life progresses I cannot even say

What cutting you away from me made me feel.

Sweet vicious venom sliding down my throat,

I can taste the flavor of the words on my tongue…

Nothing you can say will ever sound the same…

I’m walking away and you’re taking the blame.

I liked the chaotic emotions throughout it, there wasn't a fixed point, it all kept changing. I also liked your perspective on words and how you described them so brilliantly.
