Tale of Two Witches

Tale of Two Witches

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Lost inside, the new perfection opened and began…

Tale of two witches lost in a world of falling sand.

Walking slowly on a path both new and old,

Laughing and chanting to keep away the cold…

Tickling and giggling they walk together

Two of a kind singing loudly:

Always and Forever.

Constantly communicating, as with day and night,

Like higher beings, never lingering on some old fight.

Brand new beginning, a dedication on a brand new day,

Running around asking spirits to come and play.

Chanting new words, being witty and clever

Two best friend witches singing loudly:

Always and Forever.

Writing together the words in the book,

Sharing secrets, knowing others won’t look…

Talking quietly among themselves too much

Discussing spells, choices and such.

So much alike, birds of a feather

Perfectly singing loudly together:

Always and Forever.

Wearing the symbols of friendship and trust,

Ready to look after each other at all costs.

Circles and stars, Goddess and God

Don’t tempt them unless you wish to be toad’s

Spreading wisdom and being clever,

Being together swearing loudly,

Always and Forever.

Oaths made in the dead of night in secrecy,

Knowing that one day they will master sorcery.

Laughing silly-ly at random jokes.

Tickling and giggling at random golden hopes,

Ask one to betray her sister, the answer : Never!

Always one next to each other:

Always and Forever.

“Sis, I love you, you’re my favorite one

I stand by my oath at the strike of dawn.

Standing next to you, always together.

In this life and the next,

Always and Forever.”

Your words walk the reader through a wonderland, powerfully written Laura.
the creative consistancy and depth are well written and expressed,
the imagery really does the heartfelt idea justice. Great poem and form.

That is so cool... a more fun and upbeat look at witches, they get such bad reputations when some can be good, they have to protect themselves just like everyone else.

This is one of the best pieces I have read tonight. It light and sweet. It is a charming pece about friendship with the theme of Always and Forever. A trust and bond between to friends that can never be broken!
It combined the realm of fantasy and reality.

Great ink!

Just one minor thing that I caught:
Don't tempt them unless you wish to be toad's (the last word should just be toads)
