Separate

Separate

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Seeing you again was a real treat,

How long has it been? Months?

Pulling up in that new car of yours,

Getting the treat to smile at you again.

Is it too late to look you in the eyes and smile.

Tell you I missed you terribly and I’d like you back

Maybe one day soon I can kiss you again

Listen to your heartbeat without any questions asked?

Can we separate the good from the bad,

Pull away the lies from all we said?

Do you think you could arrange it so we can start again

On a brand new page?
