Attempt

Attempt

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Please No CSS

I am trying to attempt it for the last time,

Sitting straight in my chair

Trying to hide away the fear, the panic…

I’m terrified, afraid, terrorized by this thought,

Lost inside the cobwebbed corridors inside my mind.

I’m fearful, anxious, terrified, frightened…

I’m alone.

As someone who loves to be alone, found this an interesting glimpse into the psyche of those who do not. A brief spark of absolute panic runs through this, well illustrated, like a hard drawn breathe. Strong emotion well interpreted.
