A Poem by Laura Sparkle
"

For my guardian angel, my brother, the spark in my eye. :)

"

Please No CSS

He sits on my old wooden bench

His back pressed against one of the sides,

His knees pressed to his hard, sculpted chest.

His green eyes look troubled out the window and

Into the dark September night,

As if he is trying to look through all material things.

Doing my best to clear his chocolate hair out of his eyes

Trying to attract his attention in some way or another,

But soon give up, his mind is elsewhere.

I can swear I can hear his thoughts run around in his head

Causing his focus to be somewhere other than here.

He sits there, until the sun rises,

Then looks away from the window to watch me sleep…

Confusing me, for yet again he’s watching my dreams.

My boyo sits there all night long,

Pretending to look out the window,

Pretending not to hum that silly little song…

His older posture and his wise green eyes look sad

And I can feel my heart cry for his pain,

Tears river down my face and refuse to wipe away,

“I know you miss it, big brother…

I know you miss the life you left behind.”

His posture changes quickly, and eyes look more alert

He moves to face me, and swings his feet onto the floor

A glimpse of the sadness on his face,

Before he hides it consciously away from sight.

“What can you feel, my little one?

But what you think is an illusion…

I made, and believe in this decision

I made some centuries ago.

Try not to cry my little angel,

I’m never leaving you again,

I swear.”

My guardian angel, my one true hope,

I love you boyo, you’re my spark.

My one regret is your decision,

You’re missing out on love, again.

Now, what can you say to something that sweet and perfect.
A tribute to a saint of a brother, and the love that is clearly shared. For the willingness to sacrifice for the other.

Simply wonderful poetry Sparks!

Great poem :) I guess the brother had lost a love in the past or something, and the sister had felt his pain and everything he's been goin thru. I hope that's what u were tying to convey hehe. I just woke up, forgive me lol. Great job tho :)
