Instant wisdom

Instant wisdom

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

Yes, I expect you to listen when I speak,

Shut your wretched mouth, just listen.

Maybe you’ll be lucky to grab some wisdom,

Do I really think so? No, not at all.

Humans lose their perspective

They put too much value on fame,

When was the last time you wrote

Just for the sake of speaking your mind and not for your name?

This life is too short, as is the next

To waste it on such trivial matters;

Your guardian will find you,

Just listen to him when he speaks, he knows best (just believe).

But maybe the rhythm is fading,

Your patience evaporates, does it not?

Who am I? what am I? Just listen,

Who and What will come in their time.

Ahhh Laura you speak of such wisdom... how many people out there are only thinking of themselves and what can the world do for them, it seems the ones that have more are the worst... I really love you speaking up and showing your disapproval with your poetic voice. Going in my favs.
