Capturing Time

 

Closing my eyes and freezing time for just one minute,

Capturing the perfect smell of your skin,

The perfect fit of your hand into mine,

Holding on to the feeling that floods my body

And imprisoning the look in your eyes looking back into mine.

 

Thinking of dreams that reveal the sweet future,

In your arms, such a treat I wish I’d deserve more often…

In such frequency and neediness I crave for you,

In the dark and the silence of the full moon nights,

Think of me, when I think of you, my dear.

 

Closing my heart for one brief moment,

Knowing it’s going to be a while until I see you again…

But allowing my heart to cry the tears my eyes will not,

Knowing I cannot change your mind, but trying still to detain you next to me,

Forever immortal and mine … my favorite marine.
