Black

Black

A Poem by Laura Sparkle

The absence of color,

The absence of light,

Confusion spread out on innocent  faces…

Wonder “When will it all stop?”

But answers are so complex, not worth explaining…

Living my life under the influence of black.

Great write. This poem could be my epitaphmaybe

Eh, I'll contact you in 50 60 years and we'll cut a deal then.

This poem makes me think about the black blanket that covers all other human emotion in places where war is experienced. No weddings; no dates, no children playing, people singing, no bright pictures. And definitely no sparkle.
Just waiting for the turmoil, the panic, the insomnia, to stop.
It's brief but open to interpretation?
Nice.

Despair travels from the poem through the reader with ease, great job with your words.

I Again got lost in your feelings here, I related to them too on a huge scale, but I do hope once more these are exagerated, thats why I ask "Are you ok?

Another good poem though from you

Simple yet profound!
I so agree that answers are always complex.
It all stops some day I would think?
or at least I would hope that it would.
I like it!
