What If?

What If?

A Poem by Ryan
"

Just some ideas about what if

"

What if we lived in a better

more perfect world

Free of shame and

hate. And evil was

irrelevant.

Where goodness

Thrived and light covered the world

What if all we knew was to

Love, to simply care.

Not tear one another.

What if everything existed for the

Soul purpose of glorifying God.

Wait,

Isn't it?

Isn’t that how were

Supposed to act,

Why we were created?

Not destroying good or

Ignoring evil!

What if instead of pursuing

Darkness and poison,

We sought grace and

tried to find hope through all the cracks.

If pain and suffering

released its grip it

Struggles to claim on innocent lives.

And torment and Trickery no longer

killed the almost hopeless of souls.

What if dead and

Hungry victims of this

Cold misery broke out in

protest and a movement of rebellion

Erupted in the lives of these broken souls

Lost and tired of the reality of

Chaos.

What if that rebellion was

So sick of the normal,

After being thrown to the ground in

Rejection every time that it’s

Small blemish in the

hinderance of what society

expects us and tricks us to do

Transformed into a

Revolution. taking everything by

Surprise and sweeping hell

Off it’s dictating pedestal.

What if it was an

Unstoppable movement that shook this

Frigid broken mess and everyone

dying on it and changed it into a

Better more perfect world?

What if

Instead of waiting around for a

victory to be handed to us

We went out and actually

Faced evil toe to toe and

Fought with a purpose of

Mercying death.

Imagine the trail of fighters that would

emerge from the rubble

If one voice got

So exasperated with this crap

And did something for a once.

No more weaknesses,

No more liars dressed in suits of

Fake goodness.

No more fighting this losing battle we've all come to know.

It’s time to testify and

Throw away our excuses.

It’s time to see the need and

Desperation for a vicissitude to this

Horror.

It’s time to own up to this

promised Revolution and change this old weary death trap of a place

Into a better more perfect world.

Amen & Ouch!
So powerfull and moving, everything you've tried to capture on here is flawless and blunt. I love it! The back and forth pondering thoughts just flow one into the other which created a good rhythm. I love the connection with God and glorifying the Lord. Amazing.
