angelA Poem by Jesse
She walked into the room, Her heart filled with hope. She went in the darkness, Eyes start to grope. The light turned on. “Where were you?” Was screamed. Flung to the floor. Awe struck she sat, As the blood began to pour. Torn up and broken, Heart starts to race. Tragic scene it seems, Blood dripping down her face. Bruised and beaten, Shaking and startled on the carpet. The worst isn’t even here, The worst hasn’t started yet. The yelling and cursing, The emotional wreckage. The heartbreak and triumph, Wrapped the room like a package. Ship it or send it, The fists start to fly. The angel’s wings are broken, As she hides waiting to die. © 2008 Jesse |
