my most emo work ever

i wear my life on my sleeves,

i don't care who knows it.

i've been thru worse,

i've always blown it.

 

my soul and my heart,

all my emotions.

worn on my sleeves,

in need of healing potions.

 

blood stained and showered in tears,

torn and tattered.

life's been rough,

i'm bruised and battered.

 

trust has been gone,

belief long has passed.

relationships started,

but no trust that they'll last.

 

my hope in you,

please lift the curse.

help me love,

but not wait for the worst.

 

in a life so twisted,

with a heart so patched.

held in your hands,

my soul you can catch.

 

help me i'm falling,

crying for life.

trusting is hard,

help me thru my strife.

I like this - it has elements of both despair and hope within it, which are not two things you expect to find together! Nicely written, nice air of simplicity which belies the despair, as the hope, as both are simple yet incredibly strong emotions. Like your description of 'blood stained and showered in tears', and your link between wearing the heart on the sleeve, and then a heart so patched.. nicely done.
