Concentration Camp...A Poem by SpagbellaA heartbreaking poem about a true reality...
The trains large, metal mouth roared like a furious lion,
Bringing more and more innocent citizens everyday... But never taking anyone the other way. The taste of anxiety lingered in my mouth, Scolding my tongue like flaming fire, Jews herded together like cattle being slaughtered, Frozen. Starved. Depressed. The bitter stench of burning bodies stained the air, As spirits escaped from the dark, dim prison, The choking smoke was a fiery dragon, Searching through the acrid atmosphere, The gas chambers spluttered and coughed, As the doors banged shut, locked and bolted. The showers were slowly turned on... Silence.
