Generation

Generation

A Poem by Emmy J.M. Powell

I live in a generation
where iPhones run rampant
and cures for cancer do not

I live in a generation
where innocent things are dying
and the constant need for money is not

I live in a generation
where politics are raised high
and social issues are not

I live in a generation
where everything is so advanced
and I am not
