The place I once called homeA Poem by SpacecadetIn collaboration with the amazing poet, Ron!I Get in the car and get away As fast as I can From the shadows of you In the rear view of my mind From the ghosts that haunt my bed at night. You're everywhere Memories... Skeletons of us Scattered all over this town I smell your scent and feel your touch that, Like the winds of time, are long past gone... I pick up pace, Keep my eyes on the road Not the empty passenger seat, Not the lonely gaps between my fingers Where yours used to be... Will I find peace in these empty roads? Or will I find someone else I can call my home? © 2014 SpacecadetAuthor's Note
