Silent Whispers
The moon shone it's light
Down on her face one winter night
It took her right back to that place
The time they stood in a warm embrace
Standing so close, trying to beat the cold
Through just their eyes, a story was told
Soundless words filled the air,
Stone cold hearts melted in a stare
Intertwined hands started to come loose,
Standing at a crossroads, what path should they choose?
They took the path less traveled by,
The road that few would dare to try
Where the falls are low and the climbs are steep
But promises are meant to keep
Run out of the darkness with hearts full of hope
From a world full of misery, they would elope.
