Trust to hope

Is hope uncertainty and if so why is that so scary? 

How can you be certain about something that has not happened yet? 

Because if feels inevitable? 

Is that where analytics meet feeling or in other words where mind meets heart? 

Is that the eternal equation that creates trust?

Is the answer already the question? Trust. 

Can I trust to hope?

I had to read this one over and over....its deep. I never thought to think about what hope is but I like the idea of it being where the mind meets the heart! Really good food for thought :) just one little error I noticed in the 3rd line - should if be it?

Wohoo! Trusting hope begets uncertainty, indeed! Trust is akin to being blind - dumb. And trust is such a BIG abstract word that is quite difficult to embrace. You just don't know what will happen and that is where uncertainty is. This piece is awesome. You truly made me ponder on this one! Thanks a lot! I can feel the emotions flowing in this piece. We trust in our abilities, yet hope for success. You are right, we negate the first with the last and simply second guess ourselves into believing nothing will go wrong. Maybe that is how people read terrible news in the paper while being detached from the reality. That murdered persons family must feel awful, but thankfully it wasn't me.I would do it differently. We tell ourselves it will never be us, until the day it is us.
